Short tutorial

To start with the first layer: Gesso

Then you draw the girl. With a regular graphite pencil.

Then you start to color your girl with acrylics.
Then start outlining with a fine-nib marker
And I gave her a pair of rub-on wings.

For the background I used a mix between: Golden FluidAcrylic Cobalt      Teal, Dabber Acrylic Pearl and Perfect Pearls Pearl
Dry carefull with a heattool!

Next a layer of Glossy Decopage
You can also use Glossy Gel Medium or Glossy Mod Podge.

And finally add some stars to the background.
I used a Crafters Workshop Template and some Mister Huey´s Mist White or Distress Stain Picket Fence
Some embellishments
and
she´s ready to hang in the tree...

Bloom True, classes by Flora Bowley!

I've been following painting classes with Flora Bowley and it was an adventure...
We went through lots of layers, emotionally and on the canvas.
She encouraged us to tune into our intuiton and play! Letting go of "wanna do it right"! Don't be afraid to cover up the parts you really like. Trust your intuition! Be brave!
The painting went through lots of stages. (it goes through a couple of  "ugly teenager phases"  {how she calls it} :) )
This is my process:

Bloom True by Flora Bowley!

I've been following a painting  class by Flora Bowley (and lovin' it!!!)
And this is an small canvas inspired by this workshop.
Pictures of the big painting (24 by 32 inch) will follow...

This is the background! Instead of all the layers paint, i used some design paper...
